About Rod the Guide

With over 30 years of experience in archery, I’ve dedicated my life to mastering the bow and arrow and sharing that passion with others. My journey has included harvesting whitetail and blacktail deer, elk, bear, turkey, and countless fish — each experience deepening my respect for the skill, discipline, and tradition of the hunt.

Beyond my own accomplishments, what drives me most is helping others discover the excitement of archery. Whether it’s guiding someone through their first successful shot or teaching advanced techniques, I take pride in creating memorable experiences that connect people to the art of bowhunting.

My mission is simple: to provide professional, safe, and rewarding archery and hunting experiences that inspire confidence, build skill, and celebrate the outdoors.

I have 3 kids and have enjoyed watching them shoot the bow since they were little!  We welcome anglers of all ages and skill levels, and pride ourselves on creating a fun and safe environment for families to enjoy a day or night on the water together. We are  patient and knowledgeable, and always happy to help kids learn the basics of bowfishing.

I'm a Professional Engineer by trade and played Division 1 Baseball in College.  I have 2 patents and built high end guitars for 20 years.  I am now retired and focusing on fishing and hunting.  I am an avid firearm shooter and was a certified NRA instructor for years.  I love reloading!  I hold the Florida State Bowfishing record for Yellow Bullhead.  I was featured in Bowhunting Magazine twice and hunted Whitetail all over the country and Canada.  I specialize in treestand hunting and hunting from a blind.  I pride myself on extreme safety and have developed several procedures over the years to streamline stand set-up.
